Mabul-Sipadan Island

Marine Awareness Program STI-Marine Environment and Coral Transplant: was successfully organized on 22nd to 26th of January in Mabul Island, Sabah. This program was held at the Sipadan Water Village Resort. A total of 23 participants involved including Secretary General, Y. Bhg. Dato' Abdul Hanan Alang Endut, Under Secretary from various division, Y.Bhg Prof. Dr. Ridzwan Abd Rahman of University Malaysia Sabah, Mr. Paul Basintal; Director of Sabah Parks, MOSTI officers and Dorken Reef Resources personnel. This program was organised by National Oceanography Directorate (NOD) with the assistance of Science and Technology Core (S&T) Division and Dorken Reef Resources. NOD takes great pride in awareness and conservation activities related to marine life. As such this program would be a continuous effort by the Ministry under NOD in ensuring the sustainability of marine resources.
