NATIONAL OCEANOGRAPHY DIRECTORATE Print E-mail
National Oceanography Directorate (NOD) was established on the 1st November 2000 as per the decision of Majlis Pembangunan Kajian Saintifik Negara (MPKSN) in April 1999. NOD's vision is to become centre of excellence for R&D in Oceanography field in Malaysia. Since its establishment, NOD has successfully delivered its role as national agency for marine science and oceanography research and development in Malaysia.
 
 
Its objectives are to draw up the national marine science and oceanography research and development; to generate the national and international strategic cooperation; to maximize the potential output in research and development; and to identify the related generic technology in marine science.
