Nano Valley To Attract Rm 500 Million Investment And Create 10,000 Jobs

Puchong, October 17 – Nano Valley which will be equipped with cutting-edge facilities and nanotechnology features was launched at the 9.35 acres business district in Puchong today that are aimed to attract RM 500 million foreign investment and create 10,000 jobs in Malaysia.

Nano Valley is a land development project through a joint-venture between Nanopac Group of Companies, NanoMalaysia Berhad, a CLG under the Malaysian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, (MOSTI) and ACC Wildcat Energy Services, one of the Middle East’s leading energy, oil & gas and construction companies.

Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, YB Datuk Seri Panglima Madius Tangau stated that Nano Valley is a trajectory of Malaysia’s green growth powered by nanotechnology. He further added, “The pillars of the green growth include economic, social and environment of which interrelated with MOSTI’s mission in utilising Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) to generate knowledge, create wealth and ensure societal wellbeing towards achieving a competitive, sustainable and inclusive high income economy.”.

Executive Chairman of Nanopac Group of Companies, Dato’ Dr. Cheng Kok Leong said, “With the latest organisational direction to champion the development of renewable energy incorporating nanotechnology, Nanopac have come out with the latest invention of Nano Light Energy Panel which is able to efficiently generate green electricity by harnessing the power of the sun from sunrise to sunset, and mobile toilet enhanced by nanotechnology and powered by the same hybrid solar system. Nano Valley is projected to greatly benefit our nation in terms of technology advancement, renewable energy promotion and wealth creation which has received recognition today from the Malaysia Book of Records.”

Dr. Rezal Khairi Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of NanoMalaysia added, “NanoMalaysia through its nanotechnology commercialisation programmes are always ready to facilitate investment in nanotechnology and is offering consultation on nanotechnology development and commercialisation in Malaysia moreover for green and inclusive growth of Malaysia’s economy. Nano Valley is a prime example of our success in delivering green technology made better by nanotechnology to the people through accommodating commercialisation needs from both research communities and industries on a single platform.”. He further added, “This initiative is poised to revive economic activities in the Perak southern gateway region.

Mr. Ghassan Merhebi, Executive Chairman of ACC Wildcat Energy Services added, “ACCW has been actively scouting for potential projects and reliable partners and seeking participation as investors in the energy sectors and in industries related to green and innovative technologies for the implementation in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, North Africa and the Asia Pacific. We decided to participate in Nano Valley because I foresee great potential in Nano Valley and also the new nanotechnology-based solar energy system developed by Nanopac Group of Companies. I believe this technology will bring great benefit to the people in GCC”

In the Nano Valley master plan, the proposed industrial park comprises of a hotel, office spaces, shop offices and rows of multiple semi-detached factories. One of the unique concepts of this project is that all the buildings in Nano Valley will use the state-of-the-art self-sustaining green energy system. The construction of Nano Valley will consist of 3 phases and it is expected to complete in 5 years’ time.

The ceremony was graced by Datuk Seri Panglima Madius Tangau, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dato’ Dr. Cheng Kok Leong, the Executive Chairman of Nanopac Group of Companies, Dr. Rezal Khairi Ahmad, the CEO of NanoMalaysia Berhad and Mr. Ghassan Merhebi, the Executive Chairman of ACC Wildcat Energy Services.
