OUTSOURCING MALAYSIA EXCELLENCE AWARD DINNER TO HONOUR INDUSTRY PLAYERS

KUALA LUMPUR (11 October 2012) – Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili closed the National ICT Month and officiated the Outsourcing Malaysia Excellence Award today.

Outsourcing Malaysia is organising the 2nd OM Excellence Award this year. This prestigious Excellence Award recognises best practices Malaysian companies that have excelled in driving business value simultaneously enhance Malaysia’s position in the global sourcing marketplace.

This award is aligned with International Association of Outsourcing Professional’s (IAOP) global bench. These global standards are recognised throughout the industry and used globally to showcase best practices and value creation in the sourcing space.

“MOSTI, a Ministry entrusted to spearhead the National ICT agenda, Multimedia and Innovation, has been leading and supporting ICT trade missions including those that promote ‘’Smart Partnership Model’’ between ICT companies in Malaysia and companies abroad to ensure Malaysian ICT service providers remain globally competitive”, the Minister said.

This award has also paved the way for Malaysian organizations in the sourcing industry to gain global visibility, reputation and respect within the marketplace and the larger sourcing community. It also enable higher levels of success with deals, marketing and branding effectiveness, thus complimenting the Malaysian government and industry’s endeavor at creating compelling value for organizations to leverage Malaysia more aggressively.

The prestigious award categories are BPO Engagement of the Year, ITO Engagement of the Year, DC Engagement of the Year, Shared Service Center of the Year and Outsourcing Service Provider of the Year.
