PUTRAJAYA, 24 May 2012: The High Commissioner of Singapore to Malaysia, H.E Mr. Ong Keng Yong, made a courtesy call on YB Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation at his office this morning.
Noting that Malaysia and Singapore share common concerns in the growing threat of cybercrimes, both agreed on the need to collaborate and cooperate in cyber security. On standards, Mr Ong also agreed with the Minister that closer bilateral cooperation in standards would be mutually beneficial to both counties in view of the increasingly competitive global market.
Also present during the meeting were Dr. Amiruddin Abdul Wahab, Undersecretary of ICT Policy Division and Mr. Ho Koon Seng, Undersecretary of International Division, MOSTI.
