Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Y.B Datuk Fadillah Hj Yusof, is attending the 9th Annual Meeting of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum in Kyoto Japan from 7 – 9 October 2012. 

At the Opening Session, the forum heard views from prominent speakers including Ministers and CEOs of large multinational corporations. Focus areas at this forum will include, among others, Energy and Environment; and Nuclear Safety and Future Development.

YB Datuk Fadillah also attended the S&T Ministers’ Round Table Meeting on Sunday and is one of the Key Speakers on Capacity Building in Developing Countries, scheduled for Monday afternoon.

During the Ministerial Round Table, the Deputy Minister spoke on issues faced by developing countries in regards to talent attraction and retention, skilling human resources, and the need for more sustained capacity and capability building programmes.
