Introduction

Information Technology Management Division is responsible for providing ICT services to divisions to ensure that the ICT services provided are efficient and smooth in line with MOSTI's core services.

Objective

Ensure that all ICT services, facilities and requirements of information and communication technology (ICT) which includes hardware, software, networking, security and ICT infrastructure at MOSTI Headquarters are managed and administered accurately and safely according to the requirements and time set to support the delivery system of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation more effectively and effectively.

Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Plan and coordinate the updating of the ICT Strategic Plan(ISP) in order to align with the focus and Strategic Planning MOSTI so can be used as a Blue Print and direction in the planning and development of ICT projects MOSTI and agencies
  2. Drafting and preparing/updating the User Manual, Guidelines and Checklists process-the process of ICT projects as well as enforce the implementation of the instructions, rules and regulations and this policy among citizens MOSTI and agencies to ensure the safety and effectiveness of ICT MOSTI
  3. Monitor and strengthen network security at the Headquarters of the MOSTI in order to avoid encroachment on the network and attack the virus
  4. Carry out analysis of the use of broadband at the Headquarters of the MOSTI to help work for the enhancement of bandwidth this is to ensure that its use is at the optimum level
  5. Planning, designing and developing the Official Website and Intranet Portals MOSTI as well as implement and handle the updating of the content of the website and Intranet this
  6. Plan, design, develop, test and implement/maintain application systems users to make service delivery MOSTI that is characterized by paperless more efficient and effective as well as implement a train-the charity of the user and provides documentation of the complete system
  7. Plan and coordinate the development, system testing and implementation of the system user applications developed in-outsource according to the needs of users at the Headquarters of the MOSTI as well as coordinate the implementation of the train-the charity of the user and the preparation of the documentation of the complete system by the vendor
  8. Provide documentation system user application which is developed in MOSTI
  9. Planning, designing, developing and coordinating the development of the ingredients of multimedia presentations for the program organized by MOSTI
  10. Plan and handle the procurement of all hardware, software and other ICT equipment related to the Headquarters of the MOSTI as well as manage and coordinate all hardware, software and other ICT equipment relevant for all departments under MOSTI
  11. Manage and handle inventory management hardware, software and other ICT equipment relevant for the Headquarters of the MOSTI
  12. Plan and handle the disposition of all hardware and other ICT equipment related to the Headquarters of the MOSTI as well as manage and coordinate the disposition of all hardware and other ICT equipment relevant for all departments under MOSTI
  13. Run the help of technical support as well as operate a system of ”Hotline” and “HelpDesk” to ensure the effectiveness of the reporting of the citizens of the Headquarters of the MOSTI on any security incidents and malfunctions of the hardware and software ICT and network MOSTI
  14. Plan, manage as well as handle the operation and maintenance of all ICT hardware including servers, PCS, notebooks, networking equipment and security in the Data Center, iot applications and other ICT equipment at the Headquarters of the MOSTI
  15. Plan and manage the system back-up and implement recoverythe system, if necessary
  16. Plan, manage and operate the operation as well as handling the maintenance of the network infrastructure ICT MOSTI including wireless and implementation of video conferencing MOSTI
  17. Plan, operate and maintain the service e-mail Headquarters MOSTI and access the Internet
  18. Plan, manage and monitor your journey live web casting and archive for the program/event organized by the MOSTI
  19. Coordinate, operate and assist the implementation of Electronic Government applications (EG) in MOSTI
  20. Manage and responsible for the management of CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team) MOSTI, according to the Circular of the General Bills. 4 2006 Management Security Incident Handling Information And Communication Technologies (ICT) in the Public Sector
  21. Plan and coordinate/manage training or internal course on technology and the new trending of ICT in line with the development of human capital towards the generation of “knowledge workers” among the citizens of MOSTI
