Thailand, 15 November 2012 – A delegation headed by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation visited The Halal Science Center Chulalongkorn University to explore synergies and leverage on various initiatives in the areas of Halal science, technology and innovation.
Accompanying him on the visit were representatives from Sabah State Government, senior officials from MOSTI and BiotechCorp.
Established in 1995, The Center persistently develops its work and network through the amalgamation of applied science for the benefit of Halal industry and global Muslim consumers. In 2006, The Center emerges and recognized as “The World’s First Halal Science Institution”.
The founders of the centre, Prof. Dr. Winai Dahlan were present to brief YB Minister and his delegation. The centre is house at a 2,000 square-meter facility and supported by 20 qualified scientists
